Whilst some software is very good, much of it merely produces bloated code which increases download times. (In one case, we took a 178Kb page produced by Word and cleaned it to a mere 14Kb.)

Remember, if a page hasn't fully loaded within 30 seconds, your visitor has already left, possibly to one of your competitors.
